Rainbow Spritzer

May 6, 2015 by hapagirl 22 Comments

With all of this fruit, you'll feel good about brunch with these Rainbow Spritzers.

Mother’s Day may very well be the mother of all brunch holidays (pun intended). Typically brunch cocktails are Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. But if you’re celebrating your mother, a mother, or you yourself are a mother – typical just won’t do for this special day.

Strawberry French Toast

Try pairing with Strawberry French Toast

The beauty of the Rainbow Spritzer:

  • The colors are gorgeous!
  • It’s totally customizable to your tastes. Ideas for fruits are:Β red and/or green grapes, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, kiwis, oranges and pineapple.
  • You can keep refilling your glass with wine and sparkling water, just leave the fruit to help flavor your next pour.
  • If you prefer, use Champagne instead of a white wine spritzer.
  • To make it kid-friendly, simply omit the wine.
  • Once you’re done with your drink, you can eat all of that wonderful macerated fruit! Β So it’s really a fruit cocktail, cocktail.

Thanks so much! Kids would certainly love this drink too, sans the wine of course πŸ˜‰ The nice part is, even if it’s just sparkling water, it becomes wonderfully flavored by all of the fruit.

Hi, Fareeha! Thanks so much! I hope this drink brings some relief to your hot day – at least with a little wine, perhaps you won’t notice the heat so much πŸ˜‰

This is a really great idea. And it’s made even better by the fact that the fruit will only get better, the more wine you drink… πŸ™‚
