Looking to transform that leftover turkey sandwich? Try a Turkey Bao – made with turkey, hoisin sauce, sriracha, cucumber, scallions, and cilantro in a freshly steamed bun.

Looking to transform that leftover turkey sandwich? Try a Turkey Bao!

Do you have tons of leftover turkey after Thanksgiving? Are you wondering what to do with all of said turkey? You’ve got the classic turkey sandwich, of course. But how about mixing things up a bit this year and putting an Asian spin on things?

Looking to transform that leftover turkey sandwich? Try a Turkey Bao!

Sometimes after eating leftover turkey all week, you just need something that hits your tastes buds differently. I love this leftover turkey bao because you get an entirely different flavor profile than you would from some of the other more traditional means of using leftover turkey. So breath some new life into those leftovers and make some turkey bao!

I saw this on foodgawker the other day! What a great way to use up leftover meats! You know I will have more leftover for Christmas. This would sure do the trick! 🙂

Love love love how delicious and easy these are, Kathleen. And that you’ve got a bun recipe for us too. I’m picturing my Chinese bamboo steamer right now and wishing I had it here with me and not left over in Australia!

Thanks Nichole! Baos are SO good – even without anything in them! If you don’t have any leftover turkey, chicken will work too! Hope you enjoy 🙂

We were supposed to go out to dinner, but last minute the husband wanted to stay in, so I ended up making a small Thanksgiving dinner for 2. It was nice being able to stay in my jammies all day! 😉 I hope you guys had a wonderful turkey day, dear!! I am droooooling over these buns, girlfriend!! I love that you turned leftover turkey into something entirely different! Now, THIS is how you do leftovers! Simply fabulous! Cheers!

I love this! It is off the flavor profile of normal leftover turkey recipes and that’s awesome!
